“Thanks to the large number of people who supported the Venezuelan team in the 12th Softball Women´s World Championship,” the Minister of the Popular Power for Sports Héctor Rodríguez expressed his gratitude to the people who supported the Venezuelan team.
“Our ultimate goal has been made Venezuelan people to like softball. We are very satisfied with people`s attendance in both stadiums; we are sure that we have done our duty; this is a new achievement of the Bolivarian Government leading by President Hugo Chávez,” he said.
Rodríguez also ratified that he will be working jointly with former minister Victoria Mata in Mindeporte.
“We are focused on continuing with the main work of Victoria Mata, which is to guarantee Venezuelans a quality and decent life, not only in high performance sports, but in community sports, which includes everybody,” he stated.
Rodríguez congratulated the Organizing Committee, headed by Mata, for their work. She has done a wonderful work, that is why we will continue working together to accomplish more goals,” he said.
